By Douglas J Hagmann,   Host of the Hagmann and Hagmann Report

The Hagmann & Hagmann Report team is saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected death of our friend, Chris Putnam on Wednesday evening, March 1, 2017. Chris was a frequent guest on The Hagmann & Hagmann Report, and was an accomplished researcher and a prolific author.

Chris earned a Masters Degree in Theological Studies and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mathematics and Religion, as well as a certification in Christian Apologetics. He authored numerous books, including The Supernatural Worldview and co-authored numerous others with Thomas Horn including Petrus Romanus and Exo-Vaticana.

Chris will always be remembered for the time he spent patiently explaining his research and findings with us off the air, as well as his good nature and precise delivery of his findings on the air.

Perhaps the most interesting experience that we had with Chris happened during his appearance with Tom Horn and Steve Quayle on The Hagmann & Hagmann Report in 2012. Chris and Tom were discussing the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, although his resignation would not be publicly announced for another year. It was during some lengthy off-air discussion with Chris when Doug and Joe chided Chris for his “bad call,” only to subsequently learn that Pope Benedict actually made his plans to step down known to a private audience exactly when Chris stated. Thereafter, Chris (along with Tom Horn) and their combined works Petrus Romanus and Exo-Vaticana became a legend at the Hagmann studios.

Chris Putnam, 51, is survived by his wife, Michelle Huisman Putnam, of Raleigh, NC; his mother, Majel Putnam, of Raleigh; his brother, Russell Putnam and wife Sharon, of Garner; and by “Mickey,” his furry companion.

Arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church at 6339 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
