“Nothing about Jeffrey Epstein’s prosecution and death in federal custody surprises or could surprise me at this point.” -Marc Fernich, Epstein attorney

The prison video footage of the area around Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell on a day he survived an apparent suicide attempt “no longer exists,” federal prosecutors told a judge Thursday. [Full report by AP HERE]

The missing video: Video from July 23, 2019, when correctional officers claim to have found Epstein on the floor of his cell with a strip of bedsheet around his neck.

Go figure.

Note from Doug Hagmann: I’ve been getting many emails asking my opinion about Epstein’s death. In brief and in my capacity as a licensed investigator, I believe Epstein is dead, but not by his own hand. I do NOT believe he is “singing” anywhere, as he could (a) provide direct testimony against the rich and powerful, and (b) authenticate the video of the numerous “private encounters” of the perverted “elite.” The latter is a necessary component of criminal trials where any video is used for prosecution.  Additionally, I believe that the “missing video” further substantiates the theory* that he was murdered as opposed to any other possible explanation.

*Unless one is directly involved in this matter or has direct inside evidence, all accounts must be considered theories – nothing more.
